Our newest partnership with the Amphitheater Public School District is an exciting initiative called the ECHO Program – Educational Community Home Outreach. ECHO is based on a community-school model where the school serves as a central hub for students and families. The program incorporates academic support, enrichment programs, extended childcare, and wraparound services, bringing these resources to the neighborhood in one easy to access location.
In its pilot year, we saw amazing results amongst the students at one school who participated in ECHO:
At the heart of the ECHO Program is the belief that community coming together is the backbone of our success. ECHO serves as the bridge connecting Amphi families with needed support through partnerships with Marana Health, Ronald McDonald House, Pima County Health Department, WIC, Southern Arizona Diaper Bank, Toys for Tots, Literacy Connects, Make Way for Books, U of A Extension Program, Kith and Kin, and Parents as Teachers.
Additionally, we are grateful for the early partners who believed in our vision and became the catalyst for change. Thank you to these organizations:
Basic essentials like clothing, shoes, and hygiene supplies for our students, so they can go to school and be ready to learn.
Grants for educators with funding and support for technology, STEAM & fine arts programs.
Literacy support, athletic fee waivers, academic travel stipends, scholarships, summer programs and more.
